Sheila Brooks

SHEILA BROOKS is an Emmy-award winning journalist, entrepreneur, and advocate for minority and women’s issues and small businesses. Brooks is founder, President and CEO of SRB Communications (Washington, DC), a multimedia communications agency specializing in social marketing, multicultural advertising and broadcast production. Ms. Brooks built a distinguished television career as a news director, reporter, anchor, and documentary producer at CBS, NBC, PBS and, Fox TV stations. With over 34 years in television and communications, Sheila has garnered more than 100 awards and was inducted into the Silver Circle, a Hall of Fame honor for achieving over 25 years of excellence in journalism by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Brooks serves on many national entrepreneurial and advisory boards, is a sought-after national speaker, and testifies before the US Congress on minority and women’s business issues. Currently Sheila is pursuing a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Media Studies at Howard University.
