The Rev. Dr. William Mitchell is Founder of the Mitchell Institute for Professional Hypnosis and Personal Motivation Hypnosis Clinics, is a Board Certified Instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists, and regularly graduates trained practitioners Certified by the NGH. In 2009 he received NGH awards for Hypnotist of the Year and Religion and Hypnotism. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from Culver-Stockton College with a Religion and Philosophy major and a Missouri Secondary Teaching Certificate in Social Studies. Graduate theological education at Texas Christian University Brite Divinity School and Phillips University Graduate Seminary in Oklahoma earned a Master of Divinity and then completed an alternative Professional Doctorate of Hypnotherapy from Madison University. The Rev. Dr. Mitchell is Pastor of The First Baptist Church of Stonington, IL, affiliated with the moderate American Baptists, and served as President and Moderator of several religious groups.
