[Bookmark] As the holiday season draws to a close, many of us will make New Year’s Resolutions (and how difficult it is to actually keep those resolutions). Imagine how much harder it is for people who fight compulsive eating daily? Overeaters Anonymous offers them hope and community support. Three guests will join us: Naomi Lippel, who has worked for Overeaters Anonymous World Service Office (WSO) in New Mexico since 1994; Dr. Marty Lerner, Executive Director of www.milestonesprogram.org and an anonymous OA member in recovery. Most recently on the show, we discussed alcoholism and the importance of a Mind-Body-Spirit approach to healing. OA offers a similar 12-step program that fully addresses emotional, physical and spiritual well-being as a path to recovery. OA members are given tools to seek and find recovery from compulsive eating behaviors. If you want to lose weight, you’re sure to find something helpful in this program. And those who suffer actual addiction may even save their lives!

Jim is a retired Episcopal Priest. He has helped people with their struggles for over 40 years. He has crucial objective experience. He’s studied the books and done the work.
Jim also has vital subjective experience. He has lived through divorce, 20 years as an active alcoholic, toiled in secular industry, overcame addictions to smoking and prescription morphine. Jim has faced death on occasion. Finally he was classed as totally disabled.
